Synpack™ OPC 594Description
Synpack OPC 594 is a Ca/Zn stabiliser/lubricant one-pack system in powder form for use in electrical cables. This product has been studied to replace the lead derivatives for the production of flexible articles obtained by extrusion.
Synpack OPC 594 is particularly suggested for cable compounds with a maximum conductor temperature of 70 °C. Thermal stability (Congo red) obtained using Synpack OPC 594 is at the same level as Lead-stabilised compounds. Due to the very good colour retention it is possible to produce light colour compound without changing the colour of the finished article. Sheath compounds stabilised with Synpack OPC 594 show sufficient electrical properties, mechanical properties and light stability at the same level of those obtained using a Lead stabilisation system. Synpack OPC 594 has a medium lubricating action and, usually, it is not necessary for the addition of any further lubricants.
