Synpro® Calcium Stearate 114-40SPDescription
Synopro® CALCIUM STEARATE 114-40SP is a mid-level ash, free flowing, non-caking powder product specifically designed for rigid PVC, Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP), Bulk Molding Compounds (BMC), Sheet Molding Compounds (SMC), and Phenolic applications. It is a multifunctional (external / internal) lubricant and fusion promoter for rigid PVC. It provides mold release and optimum viscosity control in Bulk / Sheet Molding Compounds. Additionally used in Polyolefins due to its low ash content which increases polymer miscibility while minimizing gel formation and plate-out / build-up on the extruder screen-packs during processing.
Synpro® CALCIUM STEARATE 114-40SP is suitable for use in food packaging applications in accordance with many FDA Code of Regulations; an updated complete list is available upon request.
