Synpro® Aluminum Stearate GM

Product information

Product Name
Synpro® Aluminum Stearate GM
Description

Synpro® ALUMINUM STEARATE GM is a mid-level ash, free flowing, powder product primarily for paint / coatings, ink, and pigment suspension applications.

Due to its unique distearate formulation, it is a flatting agent in non-gloss paint and varnish applications. It provides a surface which diffuses incident light creating a flat effect with minimum opacity. Gelation properties are low in alcohol, ethyl, amyl, or butyl acetate and Cellosolve. In aliphatic hydrocarbons it gels to a cloudy rigid mass while in aromatic hydrocarbons it provides viscous flowing properties.

Synpro® ALUMINUM STEARATE GM is suitable for use in food packaging applications in accordance with many FDA Code of Regulations; an updated complete list is available upon request.
