Synpro® Metallic Stearates & Stearate Dispersions

We offer a broad portfolio of metallic stearates, derived from renewable feedstocks, including calcium, zinc, aluminum, barium, lithium, and magnesium. Selection of metal stearate type is driven by processing conditions, application requirements, interaction with other additives, and regulatory requirements. Valtris offers compliance with NSF (National Sanitation Foundation) and PPI (Plastics Pipe Institute), as well as several products that meet required certification for use in regulated applications like personal care and pharmaceuticals – EP (European Pharmacopoeia), JP (Japanese Pharmacopoeia), and NF/USP (National Formulary/US Pharmacopoeia), and FDA.

Metallic stearates can be used in many different applications – as a lubricant and acid scavenger/stabilizer in polymer processing, as an emulsifier, thickening agent, and anti-caking agent in personal care, and as an excipient in pharmaceutical applications.Valtris offers a wide variety of products including calcium, zinc, aluminum, barium, lithium, and magnesium. These products vary in metal, physical form, and fatty acid source. Aqueous stearate dispersions are also available.Our specialty metallic stearates are produced at a GMP certified production facility and meet the requirements for regulated applications. Synpro® pharmaceutical grade products are NF/USP compliant and meet excipient standards in Europe, Japan, and India. Select Synpro® metallic stearates also carry FCC and FDA compliance for direct and indirect food contact applications.
