Product information
Product Name
CEREPLAS™ L8TM (Unstabilised)Description
CEREPLAS™ L8TM is produced by the controlled esterification of octanol (linear) with trimellitic anhydride. It is a pale yellow and almost odorless liquid, miscible with inert organic solvents but immiscible with water.
CEREPLAS™ L8TM is designed for use in flexible PVC applications where low temperature flexibility is important. The low rates of migration of CEREPLAS™ L8TM from PVC ensures long service life and is strongly recommended for low “fogging” applications such as automotive internal trim.
CEREPLAS™ L8TM is also for use as base ester in lubricant formulations.
Certification: CEREPLAS™ L8TM is included in the Lubricant Substance Classification List (LuSC list) in the base fluids section of part 2 (Brands), and therefore end users of CEREPLAS™ L8TM can use the EEL classification directly on an EU Ecolabel application form.
Benefits
• Low temperature flexibility
