CEREPLAS™ IDTM

Product information

Product Name
CEREPLAS™ IDTM
Description

CEREPLAS™ IDTM is produced by the controlled esterification of isodecanol with trimellitic anhydride. It is a pale yellow and almost odorless liquid, miscible with inert organic solvents but immiscible with water.

Trimellitates esters are for use as plasticizers or as base esters in functional fluids.

CEREPLAS™ IDTM offers formulators a route to higher viscosity lubricants with excellent oxidative and thermal properties. Widely used in synthetic reciprocating air compressor oils and high temperature chain oils.

Certification: CEREPLAS™ IDTM is included in the Lubricant Substance Classification List (LuSC list) in the base fluids section of part 2 (Brands), and therefore end users of CEREPLAS™ IDTM can use the EEL classification directly on an EU Ecolabel application form.
