Product information
Product Name
CEREPLAS™ DOADescription
CEREPLAS™ DOA is produced by the controlled esterification of 2-ethylhexanol with adipic acid. This adipate ester is a clear, virtually colorless and almost odorless liquid, miscible with inert organic solvents but immiscible with water.
CEREPLAS™ DOA is designed for use in flexible PVC applications where enhanced low temperature flexibility of the PVC is required, and in plastisol for spread coating where certain low and stable viscosity properties are required.
CEREPLAS™ DOA is compatible with nitrocellulose, ethyl cellulose acetate and butyrate and may be used advantageously with most synthetic rubbers. Its low electrical resistivity makes it suitable for applications where anti-static properties are required such as conveyor belting and industrial flooring. As a base ester in functional fluids CEREPLAS™ DOA is used primarily in automotive engine and gear oils.
Certification: CEREPLAS™ DOA is included in the Lubricant Substance Classification List (LuSC list) in the base fluids section of part 2 (Brands), and therefore end users of CEREPLAS™ DOA can use the EEL classification directly on an EU Ecolabel application form.
CEREPLAS™ DOA has general approval for use in many food-contact applications including film for packaging aqueous and fatty food.
Benefits
• Use in a wide range of resins
• Approved use for food contact applications
