CEREPLAS™ DIDS LE
Description

CEREPLAS™ DIDS LE is produced by the controlled esterification of isodecyl alcohol with sebacic acid. This sebacate ester can be used as plasticizer or as base ester in functional fluids. It is a clear, virtually colorless and almost odorless liquid, miscible with inert organic solvents but immiscible with water.

Sebacate esters are used in a wide range of PVC and rubber applications, and in synthetic engine oils for automotive or jet engines due to their high thermal and oxidation stability.

CEREPLAS™ DIDS LE combines good plasticization efficiency with superior low temperature performance and low volatility. It is used for high-grade electrical insulation and high-frequency cable sheathing. It has a 34% biobased carbon content (% of carbon from “natural” sources).

CEREPLAS™ DIDS LE benefits a higher purity compared to CEREPLAS™ DIDS.
