Benzyl Chloride (BCL)

Product information

Product Name
Benzyl Chloride (BCL)
Description

Benzyl Chloride is a highly reactive and versatile chemical intermediate that readily interacts with a wide variety of other organic chemicals. It is used for applications in a variety of diverse fields to manufacture materials like pharmaceuticals, dyestuffs, herbicides, plasticizers, and wetting agents to name only a few. Benzyl Chloride is commonly used in multi-step organic synthesis processes. Benzyl Chloride is shipped with 0.25% wt inhibitor to reduce the risk of polymerization in storage, and also allow for the widest range of packaging options. Benzyl Chloride can undergo rapid condensation polymerization when exposed to metallic ions like iron, tin, zinc, copper, aluminum, and magnesium.
