Akcrostab® T-7021Description
Akcrostab® T-7021 is an FDA approved sulfur containing methyltin stabilizer for food contact applications of rigid poly (vinyl chloride) and poly (vinyl chloride) copolymers as described in 21 CFR 178.2010 and 178.2650.
Akcrostab® T-7021 provides good processing characteristics, excellent color control and outstanding organoleptic properties.
Complies with the U.S. Food & Drug Administration requirements for safe use as a stabilizer for rigid PVC in contact with all food types (I to IX) as described in 21 CFR 178.2650 with the exception of liquid milk, malt beverages and carbonated non-alcoholic beverages. Akcrostab® T-7021 complies with CFR 178.2010 for PVC homopolymer and copolymer pipe and fitting applications.
Maximum use level for Akcrostab® T-7021 is 2 percent for pipe, and 3 percent for fittings. For 178.2650 sanctioned applications the maximum usage level is 3 phr and the maximum fill temperature allowable is 150°F. (See 178.2650, 178.2010 and 176.170 for complete limitations and restrictions)
