Valtris Specialty Chemicals and Transfar Group announce the further expansion of their collaboration in supplying solutions to the global polymers industry with a partnership in TCPP
Independence, Ohio, USA and Hangzhou, China – Valtris Specialty Chemicals and the Transfar Group are delighted to announce further developments in their continued partnership.
After the announcement in April 2024 of an exclusive technology license from Valtris Specialty Chemicals to Transfar Huayang in phenol-free over-based barium stabilisers, both parties have proceeded successfully in the first steps of bringing the technology into the Asian market.
Based upon this successful venture, both companies continue to cooperate in new projects to expand the availability of sustainable solutions to the global polymers industry. The collaboration is expanding focus in the following areas to leveraging the key capabilities of the two companies, namely:
- Formulation knowledge on mixed metal stabilisers
- Technology know-how in chemical and production processes
- Utilization of complementary production assets
- Application knowledge in flame retardants
- Market understandings for generating value propositions
Today, Zhejiang Xinan Chemical Industrial Group (Wynca), a subsidiary of Transfar, and Valtris Specialty Chemicals announce a collaboration to explore the US domestic supply of TCPP [Tris(2-chloropropyl phosphate)], a flame retardant of choice in many polymer systems, as well as to Europe.
