Jay joined Valtris in 2017 and is responsible for the strategic leadership of innovation, new product development and global regulatory compliance.

With over 20 years of experience in the chemical and polymer industry, Jay has demonstrated success in new chemistries and as an R&D leader.  Jay holds numerous patents and academic journal publications and has led several innovation programs resulting in the launch of new chemistry and formulated products.  He also completed new chemistry registration in various countries and regions to enable business growth.

Jay earned his Ph.D. in Chemistry from Virginia Tech and both an M.S. and a B.S. in Chemistry from Nanjing University.  Previously, he has held various R&D leadership roles at Milliken, PolyOne, and Larid.
